need Flash photography links

any kind soul out there care to provide some links/tutorials for flash photography, I mean very basic & elementary ones eg how to use TTL, what speed/aperture to choose... etc etc for beginner like me. I've read thru following links, but I think its too much & too diificult for me.

I've read thru SB-600 user manual & attempted several experimental shots, but getting many poor results.
