Need some advise on how to get a shadowless picture when taking portrait subjet using a flash unit. Everytime when the camera and flash was on the portrait position I notice tat I alway got a Right shadow on my subject,,.... I am usin a lighting Cone... Anyone can help...

only ceiling bounce, no bounce card, no omnibounce, no LSPJII. just simple ceiling bounce.

alternatively, use a flash bracket to keep flash above the lens when shooting vertical orientation.

wall bounce, ceiling bounce, off camera flash, CLS
only limited by your creativity

there is also the option of not using flash

Put your object into a giant light tent and use powerful studio lightings at 2 sides fire through it .... confirm less shadow

btw, to get absolute shadowless pictures, you have to two options:-

#1, your subjects must be totally transparent... eg ghost.
#2, take your photos in total darkness.... no lights = no shadows.

hope this help.

can use flash bracket and position the flash above the camera when u shoot in portrait orientation. would minimise or eliminate shadows. e.g.

Bro, the lighting cone u have izzit a light sphere or just a omni bounce?
If light sphere should be quite good already, just that u have to tilt the flash head correctly..
the shadow cast to the right side of the subject is usually cause by omni bounce, IMO..a bounce card will help soften the shadow..

Can check out the link below..watch the videos..look at the way he tilt the flash head..

If u really want shadowless, CLS is the way to go..u may need at least 2-3 flashes + softboxes + lightstand..

position subject far away from wall or better still no wall to cast shadows
shadow on subject got no choice, where there is light, there is shadows

unless of course you have a huge light tent with multiple lights
