Need expert help: Backup Portable Harddisk / Devices

Am wondering which is the most reliable portable harddisk is the most convenient to back up the digital photos that are in my hard drives.

1. Are there any that allows me to, on a flick of a button, to selectively backup /synchronise the folders/ files on my hard disk and external harddisk?

2. Seen two brands - Iomega and Seagate. Seagate seems a bit pricey. Any comments on these two?

3. I need one that can be used on both Mac and PC.

Any good recommendations?

Well,you can just get a cheap 3.5 inch external HDD case & plug in a 80Gb HDD.

Then get a synchronising software like Super Flexible File Synchroniser.

That will do the job!
