need buying tips

Hi, new to this forum and looking foward to getting my first digital camera. My sister is using olympus C740.. and i think its auto focusing in dim light condition is pretty poor.

anyway, which digital camera..
1) point&shoot
2) <$700
have the fastest auto focusing in dim light condition.

im thinking of getting olympus mju300/c450 or canon A70.. good choice?

i'd say go for A70, A80 is even better if u can afford a bit more cash and a bit more time.

I 2nd defn...
the A70/A80 definitely worth your money.
But if you just wanna shoot snapshots and not really interested in photography, the smaller canon cameras will do fine...

cnet recent review on its looks not too bad generally.

in fact im quite interested in olympus mju300. its lighter and smaller than A70.
