Some additional points about release:
Before the shoot, u must inform the model that u require her to sign a release.
After the shoot, u then show her all the photos, ask her to sign the release and then pay her the money.

Just to add on, please be very specific on your intentions of how you are going to use the images...I reckon this is just basic Photographer's integrity and acto of professionalism. Also I will suggest that you request her to sign it first BEFORE THE SHOOT. As there have been cases that the model refuses to sign the releases and use that to demand for more money.

Good luck!

Hmmm thats pretty unprofessional. Industry's small... word will get around and sooner or later nobody's gonna want to work with them. Rule no.1 of the service industry is don't piss-off your clients, at least not the important ones!

I am not too sure as to how adviceable "after the shoow, u then show her all the photos, ask her to sign the release and then pay her the money is" though.

There is nothing to stop you from requiring her to sign the release form prior to the shoot. Honestly, that would be a wiser move.

This is the one i use and its probs the best one, alos to answer previous question the photog keeps the form, however if model wants a copy then give them one. the bold bit only counts if u paid the model

For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, I __________________________________________________
[name of model] on my own behalf and on behalf of ___________________________________________[name of company, if model is an employee acting within

3. The Model hereby irrevocably releases the Photographer and each of the Authorized Parties, and any and all other parties acting under right, title, assignment, grant
or license from the Photographer or the Authorized Parties, from any liability, costs or expenses arising by virtue of: (i) any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion or
use in composite form, whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the creation of the Images or in any subsequent use, processing or publication

the industry is not small!!!! :nono:

The photographic industry is pretty big

also, always ask and make sure they sign before payment and shoot if you do not know them or have not used them before, yes it is unproffesioanal when the "model" refuses to sign after, but hey, it happens in every line of work and this is just a saftey net so you get the shots you want to use.

Small not in terms of revenue or people, but rather in the sense that a bad experience/reputation can really travel far.

who keeps the form ??????

You as the photographer must keep the ORIGINAL copy, u must also attach a photo of the shoot to it as a visual reference (over a periond of time you may loose track of who is who:) Pls file in a safe place as these are official documents and you dun wan them to be left lying around.

IF the model request for it, make a copy for them.
