Need Advise on Flash for EOS 450D

Hi Everybody,
this is my first DLSR camera and would like to seek your advise & patient.:sweat: Took some pictures during bro-in-law wedding yesterday, was recommended by the 2 professional photographers to invest in a flash as most of shots taken in the hotel look "soft".

May I ask what is a good & recommended flash for the Canon EOS 450D?

if you are going into wedding photography, get a 580EXII.
a 430EXII will do the job, but some may disagree.
430EXII will be enough though.

How bout 420ex? is the performance the same as 430ex except that it has digital display control? sorry TS for posting this question.

Btw, i think most of the store dun carry 420 EX liao...:dunno:

depends on what you want to do. 580EX or even the 430EX not exactly that affordable either especially if all you need is just a flash rather then E-TTL, Master Slave and all that sort of sophistication.
