I'm planning to take nature shots at the Botanic Gardens in the morning at around 8.30am.
Is there anything I need to look out for and what setting do I need to use for taking these pictures? What else is nice to take at the Botanic Gardens apart from nature?

i believe the beauty of photography, is that u can snap almost anything. the crux is what u really wan to express in those pictures u took.

apart from the usual flora and fauna, u can take pics of the morning strollers or joggers, children having fun and many more.

you can try

1. macro shots of flowers or insects
2. long shadow joggers
3. visiting the orchid garden ($5 fees i think) and visit the mist house

You may need a flash for macro subjects esp. if they are in the shade.

A monopod or tripod can also assist.
