I have a Panosonic LX5. I can't seems to achieve a sharp focus as long as I zoom into the object. I like to know what is the safe distance between the object and the lens in order to achieve a sharp picture? Say if I am using a 3x zoom, what should be the minimum distance between the lens and object? Any one has an answer? Thanks.

Minimum focussing distance should be found in the LX5 Manual

When you focus with your LX5 and it is out of range, it will show you on the screen the focus distance range. At tele end, it is 0.3m-infinity. At widest end, it is 0.01m-infinity.

Using a PNS in macro mode, you've to zoom out if want to shoot at close range.
