Especially to people taking picture there for the first time and in all the excitement bring almost everything including the largest tripod for the longest range lens they can get. And all they have is spectator seats.

And what not to do when someone behind ask nicely not to block the view.:nono:
 

my advise is take less photos and enjoy the show more
 

Forget the tripod, have VR / IS, use it. If not get a monopod.

Don't bother about the finale fireworks with a tripod....everybody stands up to the tune of "Stand up for Singapore". If you're seated right smack in the centre of ppl, your tripod how big also no use.

Refrain from standing up OFTEN and getting spectator shots... You'll incur the IRE of ppl behind you. Plan your shots.

Lastly, shoot lesser and enjoy the show more.
 

Don't hamper the work of the marshals, security and emergency personnels.
