National Day Parade Rehearsals 2019 (with timings)

This year National Day Parade has moved back to the Padang because of the bicentennial celebrations, so there will be less aerial displays. Sharing some shots and timings for those who are catching it from outside

#1 - Red Lions parachuting (5.57pm)

#2 - National Flag flypast (6.45pm)

#3 - 5x F15SG bomb burst (6.47pm), followed by 21 Gun salute

#4 - MRTT (mutli role transport tanker, first appearance this year), flanked by 2x F15SG (6.59pm)

#5 - 2x F15SG doing criss-cross manoeuvre (7.00pm)

#6 - Followed by F15SG doing combat turns (7.00pm)

#7 - Mobile Column rolling by from 7.14pm

#8 - Main fireworks (8.15pm), if you can hear the parade it starts at the end of the National Anthem

(used 8 shots for base from blue hour and MBS light show, fireworks from in-camera overlay of 2 shots)

Can we stand at that spot in the padang or is it open only to officials?

Only those with tickets can get into Padang area. You can still try your luck just outside the cordoned off areas though

Thanks! Good observation, luckily I didn't have to run because I took those photos on 2 difference occasions hehe

Timings for the subsequent National Education Shows are rather similar. The latest timings for National Education Show 2 (not sure if slight delay, compared to previous rehearsals, or more accurate timings leading up to actual parade):

6.03pm Red Lions
6.47pm National Flag flypast
6.48pm 5x F15 bomb burst, followed by 21 Gun salute
6.58pm MRTT tanker with 2x F15
6.59pm 2x F15 doing criss cross maneuver, followed by 1x F15 doing combat turns
8.11pm main fireworks

Some other shots:

#9 - Finally a day with clear skies on National Education Show 2, so can see the Red Lions free falling before deploying their parachutes

#10 - 21 Gun salute
