1. In what area is critique to be sought?
Composition, lighting and shooting skills.

2. What one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
This photo aims to show the happiness of Nasir being shot. He comes from a struggling family and is rarely given the opportunity to being photographed despite of his advancing age.

3. Under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
This photo was taken under strong sunlight..

4. What the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
Depth of field could be further improved to eliminate the distracting backgrounds. I didnt have my portrait lens and this shot was at f4.

a suggested different variation could be to shoot at eye level ?

the pose is fine which is a whole lot better than a dead on full frontal

lovely catchlights and you nailed the exposure

just one question........ this looks cropped... which direction ? was it a portrait or landscape originally ?

i don't nkow about you, but i find the perspective a wee bit disconcerting. i suspect it is the background being so wonky that my eyes keep telling me that something is wrong with this picture.

looking at it and imagining the background to be clean, it seems alright. why was this taken from a higher angle?
