NAME FOR THE NEW STADIUM...

No issue. Remember when a late rich man's family donated some money and they named the hospital after him? I recall Dr. Tan Cheng Bock was angry that money can buy this type of acclaim. Singapore can open a bidding, just like COE. The highest bidder gets the stadium named after their late father.

Anyone got Bill Gates' contact? Maybe we can persuade him to name the stadium after his pet. He's rich. Sure win the bidding.

LoL! I guess he doesn't know that there's a very very very very thin line between donation and bribery around here.. ;)

Do you know that you can actually make a donation and automatically jump queue? ;)

My friend went to London recently... and he commented.... whatever London have, we also have...

How about... New Wembley instead.. lol...

Since we have Liverpool Football Club here, why don't we name the stadium - Singapore Liverpool Stadium :bsmilie:

From what I have heard, there was a big sponsor who wanted to have its name painted on the stadium. It was intentionally turned down, the stadium's name shall not be connected to any sponsoring company.
Personally I think that National Stadium is fine, over the time Singaporeans will come up with a fancy nick name anyway, similar to Esplanade.

Yea. Possibly it'll be called "The See Hum"

May be we should just keep it simple :bsmilie:

Dome dome dome ...... dome ......

Is this how the new stadium looks like? Suddenly "see hum" seems appropriate. Oyster also can. Or simply CB. And there are some bushes around it. What is the architect and the landscape artist thinking? :)
