MZ-50 Problem

Hi all,

My friend had pass me his MZ-50 which is in excellent condition. However with a roll of film loaded, the camera will just wind to the next frame when the shutter button is pressed without taking any pictures (the mirror n shutter does not move at all). This happens when the select switch or exposure compensation button is pressed too.

Any idea if there is any way to solve this issue? Will it be too costly to send in for servicing?
