Still, we need to keep continuing helping the NGO's as they will eventually get the supplies there......

This is expected, history had shown that lots of warlords are using aid supplies for them to consolidate their power. Somali is one of the example.

But we must still give, a least there still chances that some of the folks will beneifit from it.

what do you guys think are the reasons for the burmese government to with hold aid to their people? everytime i read an article about the cyclone issue, i can't seem to think of any logical reasons..pride?

ah a reply to my question before i even asked! lol... i'm not a student of history, so i'm quite ignorant about any similar precedents

To feed their soldiers. There's nothing worse to the junta than starving soldiers who will be unable to prop up their regime.

The other country doing the same thing for decades is North Korea.
