My world through 10mm

Got the Sigma 10-20mm from a fellow CSer, having fun with it on my 400D. Really love it at its widest! Just like to share some shots when i brought my camera around shooting places in my daily life.

Please pardon my poor shots and extensive PP, which i like to apply unreservedly to my photos. Sometimes makes the photos rather unreal i guess :sweat: C&Cs welcome, do help me to improve as i'm eagerly waiting to bring this setup on my honeymoon to Alaska...

Sorry for taking so long to reply. Didn't get much response to this thread so i thought it died. haha

Yes i remember. this is actually a HDR picture without the characteristic dynamic range. Not much photoshop for this one as the final output was quite what i wanted. Might be too yellowish for some, but it has a sunset and warm/hot feel which i felt suited the construction and industries (reclaimation/port/warehousing etc) depicted.
Program used is photomatix pro. Here are the steps:

took 3 exposures using bracketing (can't remember +-1/3 stop or +-1 stop)

generated a HDR using the 3 photos in photomatix with the following settings:

tone mapped with the following settings:

Photoshop was just used for borders and signature/title.

Took another shot when i went tomb sweeping recently. had to help out so didn't take many shots. this picture is the only decent one of the lot.

in retrospect i guess i should have moved a few rows back so that the path will lead straight to the rising sun?
