Just Bo liao, thinking what will be the next future Sony Cybershot F939 would be when it is launch in 2005 or 2006?
I think with technological improvement and superior financial strength, Sony would enhance the previous model and come out with a better one.

My wishful list for Sony F939 as below : :D

1. Carl Zeiss Lens with 10 elements 10 group (better than F828)
2. 24~300mm (F828 is 28~200 and F717 is 35~190)
3. Fish eye len converters (180 degree view)
4. Teleconverter with clip on adapter up to 1200 mm
5. Multiple slot for CF, MS, SD and XD cards.
6. ISO 6 ~ 6400 (no noise at ISO6400)
7. 8 FPS to 200 shots in RAW/JPEG mode (Super huge memory buffer)
8. Bigger hand Grip
9. 3 inch LCD screen with protector screen
10. First Digicam to introduce vertical grip (Break through in the market)
11. Auto rotation when photo taken in vertical postion (copy from D70)
12. Weight 2.5 kgs (Still lighter than M16 or SAR21)
13. 22 Megapixel (equal to the quality of 35mm film format)
14. Sony Capture 4.0 software in co-operation/licence from Photoshop
15. Shutter speed 30 secs ~ 16,000 plus bulb

11. Auto rotation when photo taken in vertical postion (copy from D70)

2.5kg??? Comes with 1/4 inch armoured plates?

Then this must be the standard issue for the journalists plying their trade in Iraq. Shock proof and suicide bomb proof. :bsmilie:

Maybe it should also have a bracket for attaching an M203, just in case you need some heavy firepower...

Not the first already. saw a Jap tourist with a Nikon (5xxx or 8xxx series) with a vertical grip last Sunday ;)

28-280mm is a possible lens design..

I tot sensor stabiliser is great.

1/500 and above x-sync.

how much does your 'wish-F939' should cost? $15,000? :bsmilie:

Their tadpole design sucks!

Your wish list is not a dream
as other manufacturers are already
working on it at the drawing board
and unless Sony's mindset can changed
they won't make the majority happy with
their unpopular 'tadpole' design.

Their engineering will only bring fruitful
results to the masses if they can better
the camera body design to that of Nikon,
Canon and Fuji. ;)

-------------------------------------
Some designers often felt that it is
better to break traditional values.
However they got to be confusing
themselves when reality continues
to perplex us.

That's odd. I am perfectly happy with the "tadpole" design. I think that exudes uniqueness and style...

Well, you see what I mean. It is no use trying to reinvent
the wheels. Sony's dreams of style and uniqueness won't
work in DSLR design. This should have kept them silence
with their successful Betacam for the past decade.

Photominia, I like the design, but the prism housing looks
too much like the Nikon F6. For this Sony is not likely to
want a lawyer's letter for being a copycat.

Could you design a DSLR cum SLR that could also load a
roll of 36 exposure film. Perhaps you can try to think
of digital back like those of PhaseOne and so on.
Well this thread could be bringing more designers on
board. Go, go go dude ;)

Creativity is not only having the desire
to express but to design products that
would bring joy and a better lifestyle
to the masses.

Thanks for the comment! :D

Got lots of design in my head.... but afraid of sue from the big boys! :bsmilie:
