My very first macro shot at a butterfly. Need expert here to advise how to keep the DOF clear for the butterfly but keep the BG blur. This is the best out of 40 shots due windy and cramp standing space.

My very first macro shot at a butterfly. Need expert here to advise how to keep the DOF clear for the butterfly but keep the BG blur. This is the best out of 40 shots due windy and cramp standing space.
normally iuse a macro lens with magnification at 1:1
so I am fighting to get as much DOF as possible
this means any background far away enough from my subject will become creamy
even at F22
so you need to get as much DOF as you can to cover yuor subject
and choose a pov where the bg is not so messy.
sometimes the situation just don't come together
good light
clean bg
good subject
nice pose
don't worry and look for another shot
