Dun think they are macro shots.

dun think he said that it was a macro shot

Yeah its quite obvious he said marco , not macro.. Some people don't read topics weird,.

"Macro photography is close-up photography. The classical definition is that the image projected on the "film plane" (i.e., film or a digital sensor) is close to the same size as the subject. On 35 mm film (for example), the lens is typically optimized to focus sharply on a small area approaching the size of the film frame." -wikipedia (macro photography entry)

TS, having a bee in the shot doesn't make it a macro (note: macro, not marco). The idea of doing macro is to get the minute details.

The first thing u can do to vastly improve your macro shots will be to go in nearer to your subject. Very much nearer.

Maybe TS was trying to say he was doing a Marco Polo shot.. being an explorer finding bugs on top of roof..etc. That will gel.

But more likely he meant 'macro'.

These are close up instead of macro shots.
You need proper lense to shoot macros.

kitaro9202, maybe you can take a look @ some sample macro shots in the Macros and Close-ups forum.

Keep shooting. ;)
