Went today, John 3:16 and cathay is closed. Only Alan photo is open, but they say they don't repair tripod. How?

Who told you that camera shops repair tripods? wai only says parts should be avaliable, if you can obtain the parts from the camera shops, most likely you still have to DIY the repair works.

i am sure it can be replaced...last time my manfrotto was using screw lock, and some pple actually change all the screw lock to clip lock. If i am not wrong, shops like AP and John 3:16 should have the parts available. cant remember the price, but it is definitely affordable

alright, i manage to dig out my 3 years old thread

last time it cost $40 to change the manfrotto 190D screw locks to clip locks (6 of them) at John 3:16, so u may want to try your luck there when they re-open

def a replacable part, i did it b4

What's a "def"? Anyways, went to cathay and john. Both said they don't have the parts available and would have to send to the agent. HOWEVER, the agent went bankrupt. So..... I went to get a slik sprint pro.
