This is not a artistic moon shot, with that amount of zoom you wouldnt see any clouds
If it were cloudy, you wouldnt get a sharp shot of the moon
The full moons are the worst for this kind of photography, as they dont give much detail
There are two kinds of detail
1 shadow detail
2 surface detail
To preserve shadow detail you have to underexpose a bit
Most people concentrate on surface detail, ie the craters & end up blowing away all the subtle shadaow details
Base your comments on facts & not fantasy
Did you use a tripod for the shot, there seems to be a bit of blur, use a timer
I think the exposure is just about right, only with a sharp focus will the details come out
Did you focus & meter manually, would highly reccomend both these
