My first shoot with 600si

24mm, f/2.8, 1/200s, ASA400

underexposed and large depth of field which makes the pic very cluttered. colours are dull too. need more saturation. try longer focal length and focus on just one flower. work on composition too. major subject is dead centre.

WB: bluish; prob cloudy or diffused lighting conditions. Also look at other orchid/flower pics - if that is the subject you are itnerested to be good at - and learn to be a self-critique. Thats the best wasy to improve, and best way to start, and not to acquire some fangled supposedly hi-tech gear called a camera.
