Alright. Will post something else next time. This lens is good to have for low light photography too. :embrass:

Thanks for sharing. Your pics are nice and the len performance is good too...

i like the sharpness of the subjects in No. 1 and No. 2, and their bokeh is also very nice.

how is this 50mm f/1.4 in comparison with the famous 30mm f/1.4? have you used the 30mm previously before you changed to this 50mm? :)

The 'Akuma' ones more like a nightmare leh! :)

Very nice photos. Were they all done wide open? Very impressive sharpness if they are.

This lens could be even sharper if it is fixed on a state of the art Nikon camera, especially full frame or D300. I fixed mine on the S5 Pro, which may not be as sharp, although colour rendition is great.

Yes, they are all done wide open at f1.4 with the exception of these 2 photos:

Done at f2.0

and this, which is done at f6.3

Thanks my friend. Although I had not tried the 30mm f/1.4, one of my friends told me that he prefers the 50mm version in terms of sharpness and bokeh. But, I reckon that the 30mm lens is very useful in tight situations when space is a constraint and for taking wider angle shots.

That's true. Thumbs UP :)

So far has the 50mm been an annoying restriction? After seeing what kind of dof the f1.4 does, i'm pretty tempted to save up to get one. Just wondering if the 50mm is annoying though.

It isn't annoying. I will be pretty annoyed without one. ;)
