I was playing with my new 85 f/1.8 and grabbed a quick shot of my daughter who loves posing for the camera (can you tell:bsmilie: )...

Some will say that might be better if her eyes are open, but I think this works the way it is, especiialy with the expression on her face...

I took a few at 1.8 - It's been a little while since I've used my 50 1.8 and I'd forgotten how shallow the DOF is, more so with the 85.. Have a look at this one, the mouth is sharp and the eyes are OOF, damn that's thin...

Have you try using higher stop to increase the DOF?
