... Sorry i restart this again.

I need help.

Bought a China made phone the battery died at 23% despite recharging it.

A check with meter shows that the voltage is 3.8V.

When I put it back into the phone, it refuses to boot up!

1. How can restore the battery?
2. Why is the battery not working when it shows 3.8V.. li-ion battery

Thank you for all the help!

Except for replacement of the cells, there's no restoration procedure.

A battery on no load will give a very good voltage reading even though its almost at zero.

Junk it, buy an original and you'll be unlikely to suffer such grief.

Relax....I'm sure TS already knows and feeling the pinch. No need to add salt to the wound. It's helpful to give TS the technical advise that TS is looking for, if we have the answer.

To use 山寨 products successfully you must eat 山寨 apples:

Yes. i agreed with you...

Lesson learnt!

there is really nothing you can do about the battery. you can try to recharge it again, did the battery get warm while charging ? charger working ?
the 3.8V you measured is without load, so you don't know if the battery has enough current to power the phone.

hi all,

Thank you for the feedback and advices...

Appreciated them very much!
