My Avatar Twist

Watching Avatar was like a De Javu. If you had watched 'Dances with Wolves', you will know what i mean. The 'Avatar' with their tribal callings are no difference from the Red Indians of America which 'Dances with Wolves' was based on. On the other hand, James Cameron placed in the credits that he is the writer and director of the script. Hey, who are we to argue?

Anyway, 'Ava-dances with wolves' aside,... I see some of the angles which Director Cameron is trying to show us as a movie goer. But here's my twist to it.



Assuming we are the Na-Vi race, one day, an Alien Race did a DNA clone between theirs and our species and produced a clone that looked like us (humans). We sparingly told him to learn and live amongst us so that they can try to understand us and appreciate what we do. We then dedicated our world's hottest chick to mentor him. Our chick teach him how to surf the waves, eat roti prata, enjoy massage and bargain at wet market etc. This alien is beginning to like what we do...

After 3 months, we were told that our planet was doomed because they wanted the earth's soft core because it sells for 20 Million Alien Currency. We wanted to fight with our M16s and F-16s but the Alien Avatar told us we will be competing against sonic guns and force shields. We should run and hide in the forest. Then because of our local girl charm, he decided that surfing the waves, roti prata , enjoying massages and bargaining at wet market is worth protecting and thats what we did. In the end, we triumph.

Hey, James Cameron may be telling us that we humans are not that bad afterall. There might be an alien race eyeing on our little green planet and has placed a Avatar to live amongst us and enjoying our chicks at this current moment! :bsmilie: So, Hot Chicks out there, please work harder!

As many intelligent people know, aliens are all around us. This is a story of a band of four such explorers. In order to blend in, they have assumed human form. This is the High Commander (Dick). He has assembled an elite team of experts: A decorated military officer (Sally), a seasoned intelligence specialist (Tommy) and, well, they had an extra seat (Harry).

The premise of the show revolves around an extraterrestrial research expedition attempting to live as a normal human family in the fictional city of Rutherford, Ohio, where they live in a loft apartment. Humor was principally derived from the aliens' attempts to study human society and, because of their living as humans themselves while on Earth, to understand the human condition. In later episodes, they became more accustomed to Earth and often seemed to be more interested in their human lives than in their mission.

To me, the movie feels exactly like what the english did when they reach the shores of america.

Ang-moh reaches new land (america), attempt to communicate with locals (red indians), have a few ang-moh stay with them to learn their culture. In the end also takeover land from them. Red indians fought for their land, but unfortunately they lost. And america was founded.

actually, the human did not make a perfect clone of the Na'vi. the Na'vi people have one thumb and three fingers whereas the clones have one thumb and four fingers. that's what i noticed during some of the scenes. not too sure if this was a boo-boo on the director's part of was it intentional.

The Na'vi had wanted Jake Sulley to fall in love intentionally with the princess.
Then they will use Jake as a mole to kill off the humans.
In the end, the princess will reveal the love is not real and JS will go,"NOOOOOooooo!!!"

Yup. This is one idea too... Then the princess reveals she is actually the Swallow (technical term for female spies that sleep with the enemy to get information and manipulate them).

Perhaps we can even go way back to the days of the Colonial Spanish? Christopher Columbus who took to the east shores of America and also the islands around, leaving a colony of his men before he sailed home. Brutality against the natives then was the norm.

I think its important because their controllers would not know how to use their hands properly if it had one finger less - imagine trying to control a phantom limb.

That is a good point.
But then again, the humans like Jake have no tails. How then could they control their tails on their Avatar, and the highly mobile ears? I am just wondering.
A very interesting discussion.
