hi all

would like to ask some questions about the Hitachi Microdrive from the Creative Tech Muova MP3 player. hope folks out there can help with the questions. :p

1. Is this usable on the Nikon D70?

2. What FAT format does it have to be formatted in?

3. Can a lower capacity CF card replace the Microdrive in the Muova 2?

Thanks in advance

Hitachi Microdrive minimum substain data rate is 4.3mb/sec where Lexar 40x WA minimum sustain data rate is 6mb/sec. Lexar 40x WA perform excellant on D70 in JPEG Highest mode. Time lapse for next shot in normal mode is less tha 1 sec.

According to what I've gathered on the web :

1. SHould be. Any camera capable of supporting FAT32 and Microdrives should be fine.
2. FAT32. If you format in FAT16, only 2GB is available.
3. Yes, but only some types of CF works. Most flash-based CF cards will not work. But one guy managed to use a 512MB CF (its not clear which 512MB ones will work and which won't), while another used a 1GB IBM MD. You need the latest firmware on the Muvo2, which will reformat the CF.
