Multiple Exposure Question

Hi all

One of the guide books on the above mentioned that I need to compensate for the frame due to having 2 exposures squeezed into 1 frame, as such what is the typical compensation value.

Also do I only do a compensation after the 1st exposure or prior to 1st exposure.

All advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

if frame 1 overlaps frame 2 then the exposure will be frame 1 + frame 2 / 2
Simple answer

If frame 2 is on an unexposed portion (black) on frame 1 then there is no need for compensation.

Are you shooting film?
Might be easier to scan it in and use PS to do the montage.

If the normal exposures for 1 shot is 1/30 sec. For multiple exposures of 2 shot into 1 frame = 1/30 x 1/2 = 1/60 sec.
