MPT Race Queen Search 2008

MPT Race Queen Search is in its 3rd year running.
This year, with a revamped format,
the contest is gonna be bigger and better!

Applications are open now till 31st of Jan.

Download the application form from

and submit it with 3 best photos.

Successful applicants will be notified.

Impt dates are as follows:
Heats: Feb 23rd, 2008
Quarters: Apr 26th, 2008
Semis: Sep 6th, 2008
Finals: Nov 1st, 2008

There will also be a side contest for photographers,

It should be:

Quarters: 26th Apr
Semis: 6th Sep
Finals: 1st Nov

Hey, to the guys who have attended last year's or the year before, would like to know if the autostyling cars will be on display before 3pm. Usually like to go slightly earlier before the crowd pours in

night race is getting popular all because of the F1 inaugural night race in September later this year.

ok i'll be the one managing the Race Queen Search this year,
ehhh there are 36 girls altogether for this Saturday's Heats.
the format is unlike last year's.
from heats they will go on to quarters then to semis etc etc.
they will be split into 4 groups of 9
and then each group will go up on stage every hour.
starting with the first group at 6pm.

pls take lots of photos and then send to me okie?
so i can use in my newsletter!

I went but nothing is suitable for shooting.

There wasnt enough light and there wasnt any clear indications. Race Queens (or girls) are too far away. RAcing cars were in a distant. Crowds were about 30 meters away (pitch dark). Only official photographers were allowed to be close.Even with a Nikon D3, you cant shoot anything.

I saw about 3 photographers shooting. I dun think they got any good shots. Would be keen to see their pictures though.
