Yes you are right about the ISO. I was trying to say that the quality is still great up to 1600 (some people would even say higher...?) and trying to draw a comparison to ability of the D7000

The acceptable range is almost always half mark, prob around 3200. On the D4, I often go up to 8000 if necessary. I'd heck it and just shoot at 6400 on the D600.

1600? 3200? hmmm... even on the older D700 i have no qualms going up to ISO 5000.

Maybe I need to learn how to process noise better
