Moving from D80 to ...

(A bit OT Liao)
Oh dear, I should hv PM you earlier. Looking for a D70s to play with. Still got lobang at $300?;p

To TS, just post on B&S at your comfortable asking price and wait for any offer to come in lor:devil:

Else get a second hand D90 and a 80-200AFD(2T) to try out

nope. no more. Just that one piece. D80 should be selling around 550-600 for one in reasonable condition. It was 600+ before D7k. D90 only selling 900+.

BTW, 80-200 (2T) have a chronic problem with MF/AF ring breaking and repair is not cheap. so have to take that into consideration. Awesome IQ though.

Hmm... looking at the 2nd price for D80, like not worth selling leh.

But I would really like to get a camera body that can record HD video...

Sold mine for $550 after listing it for $600. That was around 2 weeks before the D7000 was launched in singapore. After I have told my friends I have sold it at this price, everyone commented that I sold it so cheap.

i made a big jump to FX. Although I have put up my old D80 for sale, I think I'll be firm on my price and if no one buys, I'll just keep it as a spare body. Probably send it to NSC first for a nice spa. :D

might i suggest either:

d7k for body upgrade

or 80-200 2.8 + monopod

or 35 f2, 50 1.4, 85 1.8.

im using a d200, same sensor, vf and af same as yr d80. imho, not enuf difference between the 10mp and 12mp cmos (d90) sensors. i get by using faster lenses.

if you need reach, the 80-200 is really good bang for $.

if not then the 35 f2, 50 1.4 and/or 85 f1.8 will add alot to your kit. if you just want one, how about 85 1.4? =D within budget...

if u need reach and speed on a budget, try the AIS 135 f2. superb lens n only about $800 max. it always 'saves my day' then it gets dark.
