As per title, what are the most bang-for-buck display calibrators out there in the market that I can get locally? I've seen spyder2's, spyder3 (both the normal and pro versions) spyder3studio or something, and the eye-one display calibrators.

I did manage to borrow a Spyder2 calibrator for my PC screen last time, and it sort of worked. Colors looked similar when printed by shops.

What I'm looking for in the product:
  • Reliable, consistent and fast calibration
  • Works on both PC and Macbook (hm..)
  • Does not break the bank -- nothing more than S$200-250 if possible
What I want to achieve:
  • Consistent color calibrated displays on both the PC and Macbook (when brought on-location for serious shoots).
  • Prints from my Canon IP4500 to look just like what I see on the screen. For now, it has too much purple and saturation.

Cheers,
Zexun

Can't see how any of those mentioned will not fit the bill. Fast is a matter of how the software is written. Reliable? I guess displays are less reliable since one need to recalibrate after a certain period. Regarding Mac just check the websites, should be mentioned there. But from what I know the shiny Mac display is a PITA. Spyder2Suite and above have printer calibration as well.

Colormunki....

That is what you want and best bang for your buck.

are u referring to Colormunki Photo? just checked the price online.. whoa its quite pricey..

How about this GretagMacbeth calibrator?
I saw a few pple selling.
It seems very basic... does it calibrate the colours well?
The information sheet from the co. talked mostly about lighting adjustment.

According to the Datacolor website, Spyder3 works on both Windows and Mac OS X.

I'm thinking of getting the Spyder3 Pro. Buy locally, would CP be the cheapest?

For me, that is what I am using to caliberate both of my monitor screens.
