Morning Reflections

I had never seen Boat Quay as reflective as it was on the morning I snapped this - not a ripple on the water.


I think the aperture was perhaps too wide at f2.8 and I should have experimented a bit with different settings. Still, I think there is an "early morning" feel to the sky here, before the day has fully dawned. My exif data tells me this was shot at about 7.45am - so I can use the excuse of not being fully awake


Taken with the 400D and a 15mm fisheye. That aside, shot in RAW - converted, cropped, resized, frame added...no brightness or contrast adjustment.

I use "Digital Photo Professional", just the standard software that came with the camera, I think. I've no idea if there's something better I should be using, but it seems to do ok for me, I think. I'm by no means a software expert...
