Hi all, just would like to add. There a couple of interesting public programmes under the festival, its free for all except one. Hope to see you at the events!
Thank you all!

About Engaging Asia
For 2009, the festival presents various exhibitions based on the theme of Engaging Asia. Each of these exhibitions reflects how photographers have engaged with the concept of Asia, not merely as a geographical entity but also in terms of identity, culture, politics as well as social issues. Asia is not the monolithic bloc that it is sometimes made out to be. Asia, in its sheer diversity, is a heterogeneous intersection of identities, cultures and politics. Photographers from the west and the east have often attempted to capture the many facets that make up Asia, often creating a photographic discourse on the diversity that is Asia. The Festival exhibitions reflect these multiple discourses about Asia.

I'd like to highlight a particular event during MOP 2009 which I think is a once in a lifetime opportunity and that's the Steve Mccurry Master class workshop.

Having the opportunity to pick the brain of one of the most gifted documentary photographers in a small intimate setting is not something to be missed.

An interview with Steve Mccurry

Hope to see some of you CSers there!

It says in the contest rules "Photographs submitted for the competition will remain the property of Epson Singapore Pte Ltd". This just means that only the hardcopy printed image becomes property of Epson Singapore Pte Ltd? They do not get a digital copy or are not allowed to scan and reproduce the image right?

Epson will not get the digital copy because you will print your submission on the spot.
So only the hardcopy will remain the property of Epson.
