Monitor to recommend?

I am using dual Samsung P2350. Absolutely the best for photos (and games if you're into that kind of thing), esp after calibrating with Spyder.

pardon me but claiming a TN panel "Absolutely best for photos"?

let me direct you to the PRAD review on P2370--virtually the same as P2350 except some non-PQ related difference.

no matter how one calibrate the TN, it is still an inferior panel.

to TS, if you haven't already, please take the advise of others and get the Dell 2209WA. thats what we call--absolutely the best for photo--for a 22" and price below SGP$500. the next better LCD cost more than 2x the price.

Im using Samsung LD220G...its a 22 inches LCD monitor...its retailing at around S$338..but bought it at S$170...somebody is selling it at VRZONE..lots of samsung monitor at almost 50% off.....can google it..

the only drawback is only 3 months warranty...and some units are defective...just have to thoroughly test it before buying it..

With its 1920x1080 support. It is truely HD. Of course since we are talking about photo editing, not a concern. However, it is also IPS.

Hi, thanks, it out of my reach, if I can, the U2409 from Dell will if good, just $600+ with more than HD resolution...no choice.

Good to stick to your budget unlike some others who will take a loan to buy gadgets. Forget IPS screen then. Samsung with their PVA screens are quite good too. In fact some models of Dell panels are using Samsung PVA screens.

I dunno man. I don't sell LCDs. You need to check it out by looking from top, sideways to see if it gives you 178 degree of consistent view and bring a colour chart to check the colour gamut. Put it next to a TN screen and see if it is more contrasty.

HP 2475w is basically a Philips 240PW9EB with more inputs and Philips is charging only--relatively speaking--$730. and no, HP2475W doesn't use LED backlight. also, every 1920x1200 monitor support 1920x1080--or for the less informed--Full HD AKA 1080p, not i.

in my view, HP 2475W is the least value 24" IPS for home uses, Dell U2410 or Philips 240PW9EB use the same H-IPS panel at lesss then 2/3 the price, nuff said.

Thanks for the correction. I have checked and indeed they are all using the same LG.Philips IPS panel. The Philips seems to also have a wider colour gamut. I did my research some time last year and the HP was the only 24" IPS LCD then. Now have to wait for the August Toa Payoh sale.
