Guys, was searching high and low for a minitor mount on a tripod.

Was wondering if it's a full tripod itself or just a mounting to be added to our existing tripod? Cant find any leads on this leh.. $vub-tether-tools-vu-booth-photo-monitor-articulating-arm-proclamp-photobooth-04-web(1).jpg

This looks to be an attachment for a C-stand. A tripod won't give as much flexibility as a C stand because there is a limit to how much of the centre column can be extended, assuming the tripod has a centre column.

From what i see online it seems like attached to tripod leh.. Not so much of a C stand.

In the picture you showed, that's a C stand.

Ya.. haha.. So theres a monitor mount for camera tripod la?

Ya. i took from there. But was looking for any cheaper alternative to mount my monitor onto my tripod.

I saw online there is people selling the magic arm and clamp. But just have no idea how it works.. cos i think only 2 joints and also no idea where to buy compatible mounting for my monitor leh.. stuck on this very long le sia.. haha

Magic arm and clamp? Aren't those the type rated for much smaller 5-7" monitors? What size/weight is your monitor??

not sure what your needs are but i had a rolling pelican case and i frankensteined a laptop tray thingy and attached it to the upright for tethered shooting when i did some interior stuff. It really helps that i had quite a few things in my pelican case to make sure my laptop stays put. I still had the option to move it around freely as i went from location to location

a quick google search with the terms "laptop stand tripod" yielded a few options currently in the market but might be a bit difficult finding them locally.
