Similarities between animals and us.

Sunny afternoon in the zoo, Young orang utan spotted very high up about 12m caught my attention with its daring move. Must take this photo.
4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
The animal is similar to us in behaviour, seeking prefered relaxation and fun.
Taken with Aperture priority, 270mm, 1/60, ISO 100, F6.3 hand-held.

Very harsh shadows on the animal because of the sun. Good focus there, but I think it would be good if the animal's eyes can be seen clearly.

The feeling of freedom would be better conveyed if the shot was taken from the front of the orangutan rather than from the back.
I think faces of animals in general are magical, and it's easier to draw the attention of the audience when the face and expressions are there.

Perhaps you should've waited abit more for a shot of the face.

Actually I did waited and managed to get 1 with his expression and stare... not too sure if he notice me from that far. Maybe orang utan got good eyesight. The shot is quite badly done, Im not too sure how to get a good shot with strong backlight. :sweat:
