Unable to get live models to pose for me, so decided to use these clay figurines which are from my home display cabinet to practise some portrait shots. Simple setup - just window lighting and a white reflector on the left and also a backdrop. Use an extension tube on my len for close-up. Maybe not the best lighting. C&C welcome!

Good attempt .. but i feel the shadow cast on the face can be improve. just my personal comment... hope you dun mind.

Thanks for your comments.

My intend is to simulate live portrait shots.
So, I thought good place to get tips.

Yah! maybe the left reflector can do a better job on those shadows.

Wrong sub-forum...

should be in Abstracts and Still Life...

nice shots there Vic, really practice makes things perfect. By the way, what lens and camera did u use for these shots?

Thanks Mikee! I used my Olympus E500 and 18-180mm len. But this camera was sold three months ago.
