MO: Digital Hygro Thermometers

Wonder if anyone is interested in getting the following devices. Was told the brand is Diehl but can't find the brand on the devices themselves. There are 2 models:

(i) M288 $42 [left of the picture] 10.5cm x 9.5cm
(ii) J411 $30 [right of the picture] 10cm x 6.5cm

Both are similar in terms of function; key difference would be size of display screen. Key features:

(i) Single display shows temp/humidity
(ii) Memory fucntion to recall max/min reading
(iii) Automatic daily update max/min temperature/humidity reading
(iv) Instant Fahrenheit/Centigrade switch
(v) Runs on 1 AAA battery

The bigger one is abt 2cm thick while the smaller one's thickness is slightly < 1.5cm

I have been using a few M288 units for the past 5 years already.
(Bought them when I was in Australia) And each one are still in
use till today. An energizer AAA batt would easily run for a year.

The screen is clear and there is even a low batt warning sign when
the juice runs low!

Overall, worth the money! :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

been using it as a 2nd meter for my drycabi.

The one on the right is not switched on. The reading you see is from the sticker which has not been removed. Anyway, closing the MO since there is no interest. Thank you for viewing.

dun think you can use it to predict the weather if that's what you mean.

It is used to measure humidity in your drybox (or whatever container you are using to store your equipment) to check that it is low enough to prevent fungus from growing.
