Another from me. Was experimenting around with using two speedlights in a mock studio-like environment.

Sorry, to be more precise looking for some critique on the technical aspects of the b&w and lighting.

It looks interesting. But rather flat on the texture of the facial contours. Also there's too much dead space above the model, may work if you're trying to add some text there but in general as a pic, may not be good.

Uh... yeah you are right. Heh. I deliberately blacked out that space for text. But I thought it wouldn't be very relevant to post that version here.

You mentioned the "flatness", can it be helped by shifting the lights or playing with the ratios? Assuming I only have 2 speedlights to play with and no reflectors.

I shot this with 1 speedlight on the right highlighting the hair and one more from behind/left of me bounced off the ceiling.
