I know this is a photography forum, but I know there are a lot of really knowledgeable people here that might be able to help, and I was hoping to clarify something.
OBJECTIVE: To get 78mcg of X in working solution that's easy to measure accurately
The stock strength of the supplied component is: 10mg/ml or 1ml = 10,000 mcg. Is that correct?
To get 78mcg, I'll need:
1ml / 10,000 x 78 = 0.0078ml of X
To draw 0.0078ml accurately is not possible, and the margin of error is too great.
If I take 1 ml of X (10,000mcg) and add 100ml of water, I will be diluting it to the power of 100x.
So now I have 101ml of working solution which contains 10,000 mcg of X.
If I want 78 mcg of X, I draw
101ml / 10,000 x 78 = 0.7878ml of the working solution.
Is that correct?
My allowed margin of error is speced at 10x the recommended dosage NAD and >16x with possible adverse reactions, but I really want to get it as accurately as possible.
