Memory Card for K10D

Hi guys,
I'm getting a K10D soon. What Memory card do you guys recommend for the best speed? Is Sandisk ULTRA II okay?

i won't worry too much about card speed. i don't really think any of the pentax dslrs would be limited by card speed. it is usually the other way around. of course i could be wrong.

that said, having a faster card makes it less painful when you transfer files between sd card and computer. ultra ii is not the fastest right now, but it is good enough for me.

Yeah.. I saw there's even faster ones, like the Sandisk Extreme, but it's too expensive. What card are you using now?

i am using extreme III for the k20d actually :sweat:

and transcend 150x for my modded k100d

but the k20d file size is sickeningly large..

Haha... 14mp raw would definately be very large indeed.

IMHO, K10D maximum burst rate is 3, doesn't take much advantage on Hi Speed memory card during shooting.
Using Pentax cannot burst like mad as using other brand DSLR.:bsmilie:
