Memoirs of a Geisha with Yukiko (Special Edition)

NOTE: This will be a Traditional Geisha Look (with all the white face makeup and hairdo)

Its supposed to be my private shoot but I am opening up as a group shoot since I am only going to do this, once!

There will be 2 sessions of 1 hr each (OUTDOOR & STUDIO)


Date: 19 Dec, Sun

Timing A: 4.15pm-5.15pm (OUTDOOR)

Timing B: 6.15pm-7.15pm (STUDIO)

Location: To be disclosed (at least 2.5hrs before the shoot)

Model: Grace Yukiko

Ratio: 1:6 shooters (max)

Outfits: Yukata, with Geisha Traditional Makeup and Hairdo (if do-able! if not,I will still bun it to as close to traditional hairdo as possible)

Cost: $28 for OUTDOOR & $47 for STUDIO. (This shoot is confirmed regardless the number of participants - Max 6 for each session. I am not going to keep marketing this but pls sign up asap as its limited slots!)

Hi hi, I only have one model.. cos doing this kind of makeup and hairdo is very very taxing... I am an organiser who mind alot about the quality I gave to my pgs... IF I have two models then it will be 2 hrs of shooting AND AT a much more higher price...

so if u are pro enough.. 30mins.. u can capture many good moments already...

haha, i am sure some will be unhappy that the organiser says u must be pro enough to join ;p

I believe she does not meant that only Pros can join her shoot, but 20 mins or lesser (which is normally true) to shoot the model is too stress for newbies or even season shooters without much studio experience.

I am not sure if the organiser will know what type of lightings and setup which need to be setup or let the studio guys to setup which is normally very standard lightings.

If she knows then it will be very good.


Yes, i also agree quality over quantity but everything will depends on the photographers themselves. She can provide excellent setup, makeup, models, etc but it is the shots that the photographers took that will showcase the works of the setup, makeup and models.
So the same quality setup will have different outcome (bad to good) depends on how the photographers has compose the shoot and other stuffs.

Hopefully we will see some nice works from those who has join the shoot.

Thank you so much!

For those who have joined my shoot before, they know very well what kind of org I am and kind of work I produce in terms of timing, quality or even quantity. I have my reasons for making the shoot this way and I don’t think I need to explain anything over here. The pgs who have signed up have already asked what they need to know and I have also answered them accordingly.

Rest assure that I will do my part as an org and provide as much help as needed. I might be handicap in photography but I have done by homework, researches and do things with flexibilities upon organising these shoots..
