1. In what area is critique to be sought?
Any suggestions that can improve in taking kids photos.

2. What i hope to achieve with the work piece.
To capture better kids facial expression in expressing that moment.

3. Under what circumstance is the photo taken?
Indoor with sunlight from the window behind me when taking.

4. What the critique seeker personally thinks of the photo.
Just feel that something is missing. A stronger happiness feeling that i cant bring out.

Feel free to comment.
Thank you!! :D

Nice picture.

Some suggestions. Since this is your home, you may want to try to remove the distracting element at the background, such as the prayer table. You can slowly arrange your frame in your own time, then when it's time to snap that pic, bring in your wife or any other people to make your daughter smile wider.

She's cute btw :)

please don't crop children head or body parts

Will try to remove distracting elements and try out different ways of framing. Actually she is my niece, will try to get her parents involve in making her smile wider. Thanks a lot for the suggestions.

At that moment, i was using a 40mm lens and she is running towards me. So her body and part of her head is out of the frame.
Thanks a lot for the suggestion.

The trick of taking kid shots is to let them do what they like to do, and stalk them with a long zoom lens. ;)

You'll get the most beautiful smiles.
