Not really new to photography, but for the things I want to know next, yes.

A few simple questions :)

1. How much is a roll of film for medium format on the average?

2. How many exposures on each roll?

3. How much to develop a roll?

4. Where to develop them?

5. Lastly, what are a few good brands?

I am sorry to ask so simple and silly questions, but I would really like to know.

Thanks!!

1. about the same or less than a 36 roll of 35mm

2. depends on format. e.g. 6x4.5": 16, 6x6", 12.

3&4. can try colourlab, adelphi: $3.50 (C41) for dev, 50c for each 4s (4x4" square)

5. same brands & types as 35mm film i think

Some possible answers:

1. How much is a roll of film for medium format on the average?

Negatives are about S$3/4+ range and up depending on your preferences and film/slide type.

2. How many exposures on each roll?

Depends on the size of your magazine/camera:

6x4.5 = 15 frames
6x6 = 12 frames
6x7 = 10 frames
6x9 = 8 frames or so.

3. How much to develop a roll?

Slides:
Developing via Fuji is about $6-6.50/roll, can't recall well.

Prints/negatives:
Processing is a few dollars, printing is about 60cts/$1 or so a piece. I normally pay about $15-16 per roll, processing. Lost touch a little, haven't done prints in a long while.

4. Where to develop them?

Ruby Photo, RGB, Photoguide.

5. Lastly, what are a few good brands?

Depends on your taste/preference.

This what I normally use:

Fuji slides : Provia 100F, Velvia for landscapes, nature, product shoots.

Kodak Portra film for people.

Some answers.

1. Price of film
Negatives
Kodak Portra 160 NC $5.50 - $6.00
Kodak Portra 160 VC S$5.50
Fuji NPC 160- $3.50
Fuji NPS 160 - $3.50

Kodak Portra 400 VC- $6.00-$6.50

Slides - can't remember as I always buy in bulk & store in fridge

2,3,4,5 - see other replies.
