Please help me to approach this question with excel:

Which of the term of the sequence 3/16, 3/8, 3/4, ..., 96 is the last given term?

How did you find your way here for an excel/math solution, this is a techie forum, not a edu forum. Maybe techie = Software applications lol

Anyway to solve this, you'll notice the numerator is all 3 while the denominator starts with 16 and is then sequentially divided by 2. So we have 16, 8, 4, 2, 1, 0.5, etc.... for denominator

Open up a new excel spreadsheet, first column put 3 into the cells. (put 3 in A1 and drag). Then 2nd column top cell (B1 cell) put 16, next one below put =16/2 and then drag down. Then 3rd column write this formula = A1/B1 and then drag. You'll see that the 10th row is 96 (3/0.03125).

Thank you very much ;]]]]]

2nd column starting from B2, input =B1/2 then drag down.
