I am interested in WCON 0.7, but when ordering the tube adapter, I blur blur, did not order the step down ring.

I bought my step-down ring ( 62mm-55mm) from CP. When used with
the tube adaptor, there is slight vignetting at the corners, zooming in
would be worst. Just have to crop your photo a little.

Could it because that the step down ring is too thick?

It is described in Ching-Kuang Shene's "Panasonic DMC-FZ 10 User Guide", under point 3 of "A Few Notes" in his "Adapter tubes" page.
