Nice shots, while the last image seems over-exposured.
Probably the flash are too strong and blown out the skin tones of the model.

Nope I didn't use flash, my Av-mode got fooled by Ivan's spotlight
I think its over-exposed as well, but thought I'd keep it for the slightly high-keyish type of look

I see, try adjust to B&W or serpia? might be nice.

Not too sure if this works... found it a bit iffy personally, but couldn't quite point out where or why :dunno:

Nice bro. Like #1,2,3, but the skin tone in 1 & 2 looks a bit pinkish to me.

For the B/W ones, I think the model does not have strong enough facial features to carry off a low key full-frontal shot like this. You'd probably have to pose her a bit differently, or play with the angle/location of the light source to get a better effect.

Points well noted, and yes on looking at 1 & 2 again and again and taking some real time to scrutinise it, it does look a tad too pinkish

is it me or the skintone for the pics look quite funky?

The lighting of Ivan's spotlight changes as the armature rotates in his generator, inperceptible to the human eye, but when captured at a hundredth of a second or so you can see the change. Add this to my use of digital spotlights in photoshop and you get the funky skintones (I'm assuming you mean 1 n 2)
