hi all,

i'm new to marco photography.
dun mind if i ask this.......:dunno:
i come across hoya +4 filter lens is use in marco photography,
what is this lens filter for?
must one need to have it in marco photography?
how much does it cost?
what is the difference between using this filter and without it?

every camera has its minimum focusing distance . the closeup filter is to reduce the minimum focusing distance , thus , the object will look bigger.

A +4 filter is not a must when you shoot macro, however it is useful when your subject is small and you're using a non macro lens.

Cost depends on the thread size of the filter. A 58mm hoya +4 should cost less than $20.
