Not so much as images for critique on composition etc.. But more of to showcase the capabilities of these good old manual nikkors(since its not allowed in nikon sub forum). Everyone is welcomed to post their pics by these old babies here. ;)

First up, one of the must have and talked about Nikkor AI/AIS 105mm f2.5

I shoot mostly b&w on film. Metering mostly by a combination of 50% centerweighted or spot metering and 50% guessing, probably like XC pictorial (using AI/AIS on D70 should be 100% guessing!)

Here's some low light shots. Possibly with 25-50mm f4 AIS (no EXIF with film!). This one is taken with Kodak 400TX possibly pushed to ISO800, hence the grain. I don't complain, actually love 400TX grains.

Taken in a dark cathedral in Chartres (France). No flaring. Forgot to record which lens I used for this, could be a 35mm f1.4.

Ah, this one I remember. 50-135mm f3.5 AIS taken at the tourist-less end of Chateau de Versailles (No need to say which country). I'm looking at a resized photo, so I can't really tell if its Kodak 400TX or Ilford FP4+, looking at the grain it could be the Ilford. I just love the way the tree stands out.

And never mess with Velvia! 25-50mm f4 AIS in action with Velvia50 film. Again, showing the punch given by the lens. I just love this 25-50mm.

By the way, I never bothered to put watermarking on my photo, but still, if anyone wants to use it for other stuff, please let me know first.

wonderful pics, but what is this doing in the critique corner ?

since this thread isn't exactly focussed on equipment critique nor image critique, it'll be moved to the General, Reviews, Tech Talk section :)

thanks for the alert :)

My capture using manual lens. My 5th. child, not feeling happy because her brother doesn't want to switch the TV to the Disney Channel.

Which reminds me, its not that easy to capture smoke from ciggies... I got my father in law to take a huge puff once and with a black background, I thought I saw a lot of dense smoke coming out of his mouth but the b&w picture portrait didn't look that impressive. I believe that you need to use some strategically positioned off-camera flash to get it to come out right. I'm still working on that. Unfortunately not that easy with the old film cameras without iTTLS! Need the right cable, etc etc.

very nicely captured low lighting shots..
why dont you link them directly here?
the 50f1.2 is a  lens, i dont mind keeping more copies

i tried, but placed them inbetween the 'img' tags but can't seem to load....

thanks... yeah its pretty darn hard to focus with the 50mm wide open, especially with moving subjects, and especially on a APS sensor...
its so tight tat slight movements move them out of the focusing area... but luckily with the digital and 5fps, i can just 'whack' and shift focus slightly... so on average every focused shot, i've like 5 OFF ones...

as for the film ones, i was damn lucky to get them.. haha

any idea what's the market price for a 50 f1.2?

i see..
But good job, all your pics still seem in focus.
I am not so sure if flikr allows hotlinking..
if not you can use one that does like photobucket or imageshack ;)

Both taken with Nikkor P.C. 105mm f/2.5. This P.C. doesn't mean parallex correction but means 5 element(Penta) muli-coated lens. Its the one released in 1973-74 I think, the one with the scalloped focusing ring. Its been attacked by fungus and its rear element has this horrible etching marks on it but it still produces such sharp images wide open at f/2.5 and as long as its not in direct bright sunlight. No sharpening mask used in the PP.

Nice Perspective there, Josh..

Why dont send it for cleaning?
over time, fungus will spread and eat up the coating..
