Hi all,

I am thinking of getting a tripod for my EOS 66. My friend told me I can go for Manfrotto tripod, but there are so many model for the tripod and head.

Anyone can give some advice as for which model (tripod and head) should I go for? My budget is less than $150. Possible? ;p

err... the 141RC is the pan/tilt head... it have a QR already...

No no.... sorry, I was referring to the tripod. 190D is using screw knob, not QR.

Yah, I believe that is the old design, new ones use quick release instead of twist & turn.

150 is not enough for a new one
keep an eye on the 2nd hand section everyday ... :)

Hmm.... So, should I get one with the QR or one with screw knob?

Anyone can advice?

I may get 'shot down' here, but my personal opinion is that the screw types are more secure and dependable, unless you're talking about a mid-higher-end model in excess of $300 or $400. IMHO.

Okay... but for the tripod, what is the height I should be looking at?
